Cyprus Property Guide: The Many Features of This Beautiful Island
If you are seriously thinking about purchasing a property or properties in Cyprus, you have no doubt done extensive research into the island and the benefits that come along with purchasing real estate on the island. You likely already understand all that you stand to gain by purchasing a holiday or rental property on Cyprus. Maybe you have even fallen in love with the island and plan on making a permanent move. Regardless of how you made the decision, you have decided to purchase Cyprus property. Now, all that’s left to decide is exactly where on the island you want to buy property.
There are many factors that may affect where you want to purchase property on Cyprus. Cyprus is contrasting in nature and has many different regions to choose from. If you want to purchase a property that you can rent out to families on holiday, you will likely want to choose a region that attracts a lot of tourists. If you wish to settle on Cyprus with your family, on the other hand, you may want to be closer to towns, cities and the rich culture and history that is unique to the island. The following are just a few of the distinct features that can be found on Cyprus:
Beaches – Cyprus is an island and as thus has plenty of waterside locations to choose from. The beaches of Cyprus are extremely popular among tourists. In fact, most of the holiday homes on Cyprus can be found within a short distance of the shoreline.
Mountains – The mountain region is another popular tourist destination. Here visitors can ski and hike in the rugged mountain terrain. Nature and wildlife abounds which attracts yet more to the interior of the island. Buying mountain property in Cyprus is also ideal if you want to invest in a holiday property.
Mediterranean Towns and Cities – Culture, shopping and nightlife abound in the cities and towns of Cyprus. While these areas do not attract as many long-staying visitors as the beaches and mountains of Cyprus, there is a need for short-stay accommodations. These areas are ideal for inns and bed and breakfast establishments.
Historical Sections – The same is true of areas around historical attractions. History stretches back 10,000 years on the island. During this time the island was under the control of many cultures such as the Ottoman Turks, the British, Greeks and Romans.
Again, the area that you choose to buy Cyprus property will depend primarily on how you wish to use the property. If you plan to purchase a holiday property, you might want to purchase it in an area that you would enjoy visiting as you will have free access to the home when it is not in use.
If you wish to purchase a property and hold onto it until the value rises, you might want to purchase property in one of the expanding cities in Cyprus as residences are in high demand in these areas.
Yeast Cause? If This Your Desperation? Get The Top Ten Causes
Are saying in agony: “Yeast Cause?” The itching is probably driving you mad and you need help. The causes of yeast infections are many. If you know the yeast cause, you can eliminate the different causes one by one and get yourself free of this nagging itching and discomfort!
Here are some of the most common reasons for a yeast infection:
1. The use of antibiotics:
This can, of course, not be helped in most cases. If need the antibiotics, you need them. Be aware of the possibility and start taking preclusions as soon as possible. Eat lots of unflavored, unsweetened yogurt to start with. Eliminate all other foods and drinks that contain yeast. Stay away from sugary foods and eat lots of fresh vegetables, fish and chicken.
2. The use of scented and colored soap:
This is one many people are not aware of. The colors and scent kills the “good bacteria” and gives the Candida an ideal breeding ground to grow.
3. Use of medicinal or so-called “hygiene” soaps:
This is actually the same as above. The antiseptic in the soap kills the “good” bacteria with the “bad” and once again the Candida can grow unhindered as it is the “good” bacteria that keep it under control.
4. Foam baths and bath oils etc.:
Once again these kills the “good” bacteria and let the yeast grow. We called it a yeast overgrowth as it is out of control. You always have some yeast in your body, but if it is under control it is not a problem.
5. Soaking in the bath for a long time:
Soaking in the bath for a long time gives the Candida nice warm and humid conditions to grow in. If you tend to have a problem, only taking showers and drying yourself very good afterward is the best option.
6. Tight clothing:
Wearing tight clothing gives the Candia nice warm and humid conditions to grow in. Make sure you always wear loose fitting clothes that can “breathe!”
7. Synthetic underwear:
This is a very big culprit. Tight, synthetic underwear cannot breathe and once again you create a nice warm and humid condition for the yeast to grow uncontrolled.
8. Staying in wet clothes for long periods:
Keep this in mind when you go swimming this summer. Change into dry clothes immediately after you have had your swim. If you are going to lie on the beach, tanning for a long period, make sure your swimsuit is dry and has a cotton gusset. This is important otherwise you are going to have a very uncomfortable summer!
9. Douche:
This is another very big yeast cause. An antiseptic douche kills the “good” bacteria with the “bad” with the results we know now already.
10. Eating huge amounts of sugar:
Yeast grows on sugar and if you eat a lot of sweet foods, you are giving the yeast lots of food for growth. Stay away from the sugar if you tend to have a yeast infection problem.
These are the yeast cause most of the time. The good news is, it is very easy to get rid of your yeast infection, even yeast infection because of antibiotics. With the right home remedies, you can get rid of yeast infection in as little as 12 hours.
Do you desperately need more help? Visit Magriet’s page Get Rid Of Yeast Infection for more help. You will also get very good help on her blog Yeast Infection. Go to them now and get rid of yeast cause for ever.
I Just Want To Relax This Spring Break!
Sunning on the beach or poolside and watching the sunlight play across the water is as active as some Spring Breakers want to get.
Others just want to be lulled to sleep by the sounds of waves lapping the beach. And there are those who want to choose which nightclubs or beach parties they’d like to attend, not necessarily be surrounded by it 24/7.
Spring Break is first and foremost equated with single college students ready to party, yet they aren’t the only ones who go on road trips during Spring break. Students in a relationship may opt for a romantic getaway for two. Families also plan vacations during this time as a reward for their college student. Add to this list, teachers and families of K-12 grades use their road trip planners to create a fun family getaway during this time.
THE FOLLOWING SAFETY TIPS PROVIDE SOUND ADVICE FOR ANY ROAD TRIP PLANNER.
* Make sure all buckles in the backseat work.
* Take turns driving and switch drivers every two hours.
* Passengers riding shotgun have the extra responsibility of keeping the driver alert (yes, even if the others in the back seat get to snooze!).
* Check that everyone has their driver’s license and that the vehicle registration is in the glove compartment before departure.
* Ideally, someone in your group should belong to AAA or another Roadside Assistance membership. It’ll save everyone time and money if car trouble develops during the trip.
FIRST, WE HIT THE BEACHES
* SOUTH BEACH, FLORIDA – Overall, Florida is hands down, the favored Spring Break destination for road trip planners and this long section of Miami Beach is one of the reasons why. One can walk on the beach literally for miles!
* KEY WEST, FLORIDA – Probably a bit too pricey for most college budgets, but oh, those beaches are pretty!
* SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – The water won’t be as warm as in Florida but rumor has it the sun shines there all the time (and it’s true… 75% of the time
)
THEN THERE’S THOSE ROMANTIC HIDEAWAYS
* SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS – This island is in the Gulf of Mexico and just north of the northeastern border of Mexico. It’s been a popular Spring break destination for college students and other tourists. Resorts and condominiums are strewn along the lovely coastline.
* KONA, BIG ISLAND, HAWAII – While Honolulu is good for families and Waikiki in particular, is great for night clubs, the Big Island has a more relaxed atmosphere where most of your activities will take place during the day followed by a lovely sunset dinner. Of course, Waikiki will have tons more bars, but you’ll still find them scattered throughout town here.
* SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA – Dry sun and an abundance of spas make this a great destination for a road trip planning couple. You’ll find an eclectic mix here, as evidenced by Old Town, which is flanked on the north end by the West’s premier fashion shopping mall, Scottsdale Fashion Square , at the corner of Scottsdale and Camelback Roads. This mall offers wonderful shopping experiences, with more than 15 restaurants and anchor stores Neiman Marcus. More than 500 specialty stores are also a part of this desert shopping oasis.
* FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA – Once upon a time, more than 350,000 college students descended on Fort Lauderdale during Spring Break, but the city changed its party laws in the mid-80s and enforced the minimum drinking age so now only about 20,000 come, making this a good place for couples who want nice beaches and great views.
HERE COME THE FAMILY HOT SPOTS
* ORLANDO, FLORIDA – One of the favorites among road trip planners because of the multitude of activities available there. We recommend getting the Go Orlando Card which gives you unlimited admission to over 50 central Florida attractions, including the Kennedy Space Center, Splash Island Water Park, Daytona USA and more!
* HONOLULU, HAWAII – Because of the sheer number of hotels in the Honolulu area, budget-minded families can pick up a good deal here. The beach at Waikiki is a great spot for the whole family because there’s a near-shore break for the kids, while more experienced swimmers surf the waves further out.
* DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA – Once also a major Party Town, Daytona followed Fort Lauderdale’s example and now it’s known as a beautiful place for couples and families.
OF COURSE, WE CAN’T FORGET THE FAVORITE PARTY TOWNS – Just book your hotel a few miles away from the heavy traffic areas and choose to relax one day, party the next.
CANCUN, MEXICO – Known as the Riviera Maya, an excellent place for fun in the sun and under the night sky.
OCHO RIOS, JAMAICA – Montego Bay is actually the most popular destination in Jamaica, but Ocho Rios is a close second. Located on the Northern Coast, it’s a great area for scuba diving and other water sports.
So go ahead, whether you’re a student, teacher, a couple or a parent, you deserve this break. Who says road trip planners can’t have their Spring Break cake and eat it too?

Is This A Good Beginning To A Teens Book?
Spending the last day of school sick in bed, wasn’t what I planned. I planned to spend it with my friends, in the gloomy hallways of our high school. When the final bell would ring, we would all go to the beach and start soaking up the sun. But, no, my plans were ruined thanks to my nausea and fever. After watching a few minutes of never ending commercials, I flicked off the TV and got up out of bed. My feet were cold once they touched the bamboo flooring in my room. I shiver and pull a blanket off my bed and wrap it around me. I walk to the top of my stairs, about to take the first step down, and I hear my stomach growl. The kitchen was in front of the stairs, so I didn’t have a long way to go to get to my destination. My kitchen was small, just a fridge, a pantry, a stove, a microwave- the normal deal. I could still smell the bowl of chicken noodle soup I left on the counter this morning. I grab the bowl then go to the pantry and grab some saltine crackers. I sit down at the kitchen table and start eating my cold soup, one spoonful at a time. My house was quiet. It always was ever since my dad died three years ago. He had a heart attack and he was gone before the ambulance even got him to the hospital. My mom was always trying to keep everything calm and in tact. She was tall, blonde, and had pretty blue eyes. She was always smiling and making the best of the situation. I definitely didn’t get my look, or attitude, from her. I was tall, brown haired, and had brown eyes. My mom always said I looked exactly like my dad. I heard my mom talking on the phone in the other room. I got up and grabbed the other land-line phone and listened in. “…Well who else got sick?” my mother asked. A man with a deep voice started talking and I recognized him as my principal, Mr. Gonzales, “Keith, Kayla, and Khloe Johnson, Taylor and Cassandra Layser, Mason Downey, Aaron Stepps, Tatum Oliver, Mitchie Tyler, and of course, your daughter.” My mom started making a humming noise on the other end of the phone. “Okay, thank you so much, Haydin is in her room resting so I better go check on her, thank you so much for calling.” Just as Mr. Gonzales was starting to thank her back, I clicked off the phone, and ran back to the table so my mom didn’t know I eavesdropped on her. I made it back to the table before she walked into the room. “Oh,“ she said surprised, “ Good Morning, Sweetie. Are you feeling better?” Her short curls were tied back in a bun and a pencil was stuck through it. She was also wearing a tank top and shorts, which meant she had been painting. She wasn’t a professional, she just did it for fun, but she was really good. “Not much better,” I say frowning, “I still feel dizzy all the time, and I am burning up.” She sat down oh-so-motherly next to me and patted my hand. “If you aren’t better by tomorrow, I’ll take you to the doctor.” I smile sympathetically, trying not to hurt her feelings, and shake my head “ok”. She kisses my forehead with her thin, pale lips and starts walking to the other room. “If you need me, just call me,” she said over her shoulder. I tried finishing my soup, but my stomach refused, so I just put it in the fridge.

Poll: Would You Or Wouldn’t You Like To Live In This Country?
I am trying to get a poll to compare my home country living conditions with others living in various countries. Just please indicate what’s better/worse about your own country, and where you prefer to live. You may also choose a third country that is neither mine nor your own to suggest as a great place to raise a family.
This is my country:
Pros:
1. A small Persian Gulf state overflowing with oil and money.
2. It’s neither a first world, nor a third world country. Meaning, it is a mixture of modern facilities, and some very old facilities (hideous, that is).
3. No taxes. None. Zelch.
4. Free (governmental) health care. Since it is free, there is a mixture of highly qualified doctors, and very awful clueless doctors (mostly fresh graduates from the country’s medical school).
5. 7 months of pleasant weather 75-80 F at its nicest, plus 5 months of 122 F weather.
6. Rare drunk driving incidents (alcohol is banned nation wide).
7. Open roads with ample lanes, yet playing catch up with maintenance is rather slow.
8. 3/4 of the country is empty lands. People live in one quarter of the country. It’s not as crowded as it could be, but it’s starting to become crammed. The point is, everything, the whole civil infrastructure and facilities are within a maximum of 1/2 hour drive.
9. Free education, also free college education (one large government-owned university), and several smaller private sector colleges.
10. Huge malls, numerous, and brands from US AND Europe.
The Cons:
1. Dirty beaches, despite the VERY long coastline. The conservative population as a whole is NOT into family fun, so you hardly see families enjoying “public beaches”. You HAVE to rent a beach house in order to enjoy the beach, more or less.
2. Decent libraries that lend you books for research are non existent, for the most part. If they do exist, they would have stone-age books.
3. People live too close to each other, they are into your every little business. If you don’t visit your in-laws every week, you are branded with a question mark all over your being.
4. Zero cultural/artistic/literary public life. What exists are cliques and cliques of cliques.
5. Horrible 5 months of summer 122 degrees F, dust storms, and high humidity(66% plus).
6. Women have very little venues for intramural sports and competition, let alone joining reasonable-cost gyms. It will cost me 1400 dolalrs/a year for the gym alone. Dirty public swimming pools. A woman who takes out her bike and goes outside gets “looks” although she would get away with it eventually. We are not required to wear the veil though.
Basically, the con side is that there isn’t much to do, no one is interested in improving the country, in fact if you talk about progressive environmental ideas such as “the electric car” or saving the environment, you would look insane. The whole fabric of the society speaks as one, pressuring you into conformity, and those who stand alone look nothing less than sore thumbs.
Is where you live the same or worse or better? Thanks

South Beach Diet This Summer
Ah, the oh-so sunny and popular South Beach Diet! Just the name makes many want to follow the diet plan designed by a cardiologist and dietician, as an alternative to low-fat approaches such as the Ornish Diet and the Pritikin Diet. The diet is relatively simple in principle and what it does is replace bad carbs and bad fats with good carbs and good fats. According to the South Beach Diet, hunger cycles are triggered not by carbs in general, but by carb-rich foods that the body digests quickly, that create a spike in blood sugar. Such foods include the heavily refined sugars and grains that make up a large part of the typical Western diet. The South Beach Diet knocks out these carbohydrate sources and replaces them with relatively unprocessed foods such as vegetables, beans, and whole grains.
The South Beach Diet eliminates trans-fats and discourages saturated fats and although foods rich in these “bad fats” do not contribute to the hunger cycle, they do contribute to LDL cholesterol and heart disease. The South Beach Diet replaces them with foods rich in unsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids which contribute to HDL cholesterol and provide other health benefits. Specifically, the diet excludes the fatty portions of red meat and poultry, replacing them with lean meats, nuts, and oily fish. The Diet is divided into three phases, each progressively becoming more liberal. “Phase 1″ lasts for the first two weeks and eliminates all sugars, processed carbs, fruits, and higher-glycemic vegetables as well so to eliminate the hunger cycle; it often results in significant weight loss. “Phase 2″ continues as long as the dieter wishes to lose weight and re-introduces most fruits and vegetables and some whole grains as well. “Phase 3″ is the maintenance phase and lasts for life with no specific list of permitted and prohibited foods. Instead, you are expected to understand the basic principles live them!
Tring to lose weight? Theres so many diets out there its hard to know which one to choose. Thats why taken the work out of it for you, by reveiwing them all here. Find out which diet is right for you by visiting www.dreamalean.com .
Bailout Bank Blows Millions Partying In L.a…. This Is A Long One?
A bank that received $1.6 billion in bailout money just spent a fortune last week in L.A. hosting a series of lavish parties and concerts with famous singers … and TMZ cameras caught it all.
Northern Trust, a Chicago-based bank, sponsored the Northern Trust Open at the Riviera Country Club in L.A. We’re told Northern Trust paid millions to sponsor the PGA event which ended Sunday, but what happened off the golf course is even more shocking.
Northern Trust flew hundreds of clients and employees to L.A. and put many of them up at some of the fanciest and priciest hotels in the city. We’re told more than a hundred people were put up at the Beverly Wilshire in Bev Hills, and another hundred stayed at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. Still more stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey and others at Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica.
Here are the highlights:
- Wednesday, Northern Trust hosted a fancy dinner at the Ritz followed by a performance by the group Chicago.
- Thursday, Northern Trust rented a private hangar at the Santa Monica Airport for dinner, followed by a performance by Earth, Wind & Fire.
- Saturday, Northern Trust had the entire House of Blues in West Hollywood shut down for its private party. We got the menu — guests dined on seared salmon and petite Angus filet. Dinner was followed by a performance by none other than Sheryl Crow.
There was also a fabulous cocktail party at the Loews. And how’s this for a nice touch — female guests at the Chicago concert all got trinkets from….TIFFANY AND CO.
As for what all that costs, well the company isn’t talking. We spoke with a rep from the band Chicago who said Northern Trust paid them around $100,000. A House of Blues source told us it cost more than $50,000 to close the joint down last Saturday night. As for Sheryl Crow’s fee, her rep didn’t get back to us. Earth, Wind & Fire acknowledges payment but won’t say how much.
As for the golf tournament, a rep from the PGA told us Northern Trust wrote one big fat check in order to sponsor the event. That check covers part of the $6.3 million purse, the advertising costs for the spots on CBS (which broadcast the final two rounds of the tournament) and operating costs. The rep says the fee was negotiated and is confidential.
Lots of people from Northern Trust went to the golf tourney … in special Mercedes that shuttled them to and from the hotels. But for those who weren’t into golfing, they could spend a few hours at the Northern Trust seminar on the credit crunch.
Now how’s this for outrage? Northern Trust laid off 450 workers in December, 4% of its workforce.
Here’s what’s absolutely amazing — the United States Government flat out gave Northern Trust the $1.6 billion in bailout money, and the bank didn’t even request it!
Northern Trust gave us a statement yesterday before going total radio silence. A rep for the bank acknowledges they paid for the events, but that the bailout money did not pay for the events. He claims it was paid out of the bank’s operating expenses. Here’s Northern Trust’s full statement to us.
Perhaps we’re missing something, but money is money. How can they spend like this when they’re using taxpayer’s money, whether they asked for it or not? And where the hell is Congress in all of this? Is there any oversight or accountability?
Your tax dollars, hard at work. Thomas Jefferson was right — “A little rebellion now and then is a good thing.”
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS?
USA_ _arguably costume, not just this competition
Miss Universe 2009 delegates visited the country second largest city of the ‘island of Grand Bahama on Sunday for the long-awaited presentation bathroom. It is important to note that this is not a competition, but even more, a fashion show of nature, with participants in a swimsuit. The ladies were at the international airport in Grand Bahama with a real first brass band serenaded by a choir of young people of Grand Bahama, where they went in the terminal. Accompanied by two drums of goatskin, the choir sang “Welcome to Grand Bahama … we are so happy that you are coming before the fall into a medley of the Caribbean and the Bahamas Ring play songs. It also seems that the girls to drink more water to stay hydrated in the heat of summer.
