Getting the most from the rest of your life starts with knowing your dreams and desires. It is perceiving those God given heart’s desires that if fulfilled would make a big difference in your life and in the world around you? It is the process of coming to terms with your “vision”.

Your deepest vocational longing (or calling) is something you probably haven’t thought about very much, at least in a way that provides a satisfactory answer. Here are some reasons why. First, is the busyness of life. Most of the time we are consumed with the immediate concerns of life: making money to pay the bills, running children from place to place, meeting the incessant demands of bosses and professors, etc. We spend our time going from event to event and those events are the things that are filling our minds. With all this busyness it’s challenging to find a few spare moments to just stop and think about the simple question, “What is it that I really want to do?”

When is the last time you looked deep into your soul and asked yourself, “What is it that I really want to do with the rest of my life?” If “the rest of your life,” sounds a bit too futuristic then what about the next phase of your life?

Often when people think about what they want to do with the rest of their life they will come up with several possible answers. Your list might look like, a) I want to spend the rest of my life lying on a beach on a Caribbean island, b) I want to leave my job and start a new company, c) I want to finish my university degree, and d) I want to help some needy people down the street. As you go through the list you suddenly realize that many of the items are divergent from each other, or they can’t all be accomplished at the same time. And most likely as you begin to look at them you will find that there is one that has been sitting there for a long time. As new ideas come in and out of your head, there is usually one you keep coming back to. When you really think about it it’s the one you are passionate about, the one that raises your excitement level.

When you identify that most important thing you would like to do for the rest of your life, or for the next phase of your life, it carries with it a strong mental image of the future. A picture is formed in the mind and this makes you excited so see it happen. Let’s call this picture your vision. One of the main Hebrew words in the Old Testament used for vision is ‘Hazon’. It means, “An ecstatic beholding by the seer.” This represents more than just an idea. It is euphoric, something that pulls you forward. It is a vivid image of how the world could be.

One woman had a desire to be an artist since she was young. But her family told her she could not make a living with her paint brush and that she should teach instead. She suppressed her dream and did as they suggested. She taught grade school for years without passion, except for the times she was able teach her students art. Finally, she acknowledged that she had been deceiving her heart. This awareness helped her reaffirm her original desire, and it set her on a new path that led to the fulfillment of that initial, internal call.

To get the most out of the rest of your life you need to understand what you are called to do. One of the greatest life experiences is to know this and then to engage with God in pursuing it. That journey is where you will gain the most from life.

As I completed my 30 day training program from my friend Stone Evans, I sat silently as he advised me to do for 10 or so minutes a day and think of my goals and relax. I continued to ponder different unique ways to market my business. I always went back to what he had said about coming up with my own ideas and implementing them into my strategies. And I did, in a BIG risky way. I don’t know if it has been done before but I’ll tell you this if it has I haven’t seen it published.

The concept hit me by surprise! One day I went on a Sunday after noon (beautiful day)72 degrees sunny breezy and just plain gorgeous for New Orleans weather! Uncommon for late September. I parked my truck in the shade and cleaned inside and armor all, wipe down, you know the routine. Then a li’l wax job. I was alone with the exception of my daughters 10 week old beautiful Siberian husky puppy, on a rope tied to my trailer hitch. Well this dog was a people magnet everyone that passed wanted to see it, pet it, hold it, and asked questions about it. Which immediately brought back memories of when I was young, myself and a friend would go to Florida every weekend, leave on Friday and stay till Sunday. We had Labrador puppies and soon found they were girl magnets, so as single guys we brought the puppies as conversation starters and the results were amazing. If we were without the dogs we talked to only a few people a day, when the dogs were present we talked constantly to people wanting to look at them and not us. Not that we were ugly or scary looking, but just normal guys at the beach.

Before I left the lake and I called a friend who lived nearby that I hadn’t talked to in several weeks so I thought I’d call n see if he was home and id swing by and talk to him. He is in the real estate business and is doing very well for himself he has a beautiful home by the lake. I got in touch with him and to my surprise he was about a mile away on the lake, doing what I was doing cleaning and waxing one of his cars. I drove that mile and met him, as we hung out and sat by the car everyone stopped to ask about the puppy and they would ask about the car as well. We actually had to walk out to the water to get away from the car and take the puppy with us so that we could actually get a few words in because we had some catching up to do. We talked for a half hour or so in peace then went back to our vehicles; as soon as we got there people flocked near again to question about the puppy and car. The questions were, Dude is this your car blah blah blah or Dude thats such a cool dog. My friends reply was yeah thats one of my cars and my reply was yeah he is a pretty cool dog. Not to be rude to anyone but it was time for us to go cruise. Before we left I told him man u gotta let me drive this thing. He said anytime u wanna go right now? I said no not with the dog he will get hair all over your car. He said no take it Ill stay with the pup, and of course I did. It was a black 2006 corvette convertible. Beautiful car, and NICE to drive! When I got back he said how was it? I replied awesome. He said if u like that one your love my new one. I was like its better than this? He laughed and said believe me. Its a 2005 mint condition Ferrari. He said follow me home n take it for a ride. I said no I have to pick up my daughter in 30 minutes but Ill take a rain check. He said anytime dude, I said great Id love to and we split.

On my ride home I thought about what had just happened . These 2 things combined are the perfect match. It clicked bring a fine car and a puppy to the lake, have people flock to me and question me. I am in marketing of course. I have online businesses so I started getting excited about what I just put together and thought don’t get too excited till you give it a try. A few days passed and I called Steve on a Wednesday and said looks like nice weather again this weekend are you going to the lake Ill meet you. He said he had plans with his in-laws, but maybe next week. I said o.k., and he asked if I was still going to go. I said yes I was planning on it and his reply was you wanna take that hot li’l ride out there and give it a test drive? I was ecstatic, I said DAMN RIGHT dude! He told me to come early before he left and i was like Ill be there at 10 am sharp, he said thats perfect I will be leaving at 11. I was pumped up now I had a feeling this car had to be awesome if he was enthused about it because cars are his passion along with his family and work.

Sunday I’m up at 7 am ready to roll. I have my business cards flyers and of course my daughters puppy, and was out the house by 9 am . I arrived at about 9:45 and was shocked to see what he pulled out the garage. It was that 2005 custom yellow Ferrari. My heart was racing, pounding! He hands me the keys and says your going to LOVE it!! I said I just love looking at it! He just laughed and said no you’re going to love the power.( He knew I loved power because we use to ride moto-x together for years).

I get the pup, business cards, flyer s and head to the lake. I was lit up like a light bulb, this was a machine of pure adrenaline. I even considered skipping the lake and just drive, drive, drive…… I didn’t though but I did take the long route there, haha. I arrived at the lake at about 10:40. There were few people I guess people were still in church or recovering for the nights before so I just rode around smiling and loving it. By noon the place was inhabited by many so I parked and got the puppy out. Within 5 minutes people were coming up to the car and the dog. I proceeded to give the car a spray wax, not that it needed it, but I just thought it would be nice to return it waxed.

The attention of these combined human attractants was phenomenal it was person after person and question after question, needless to say it took me 2 and a half hours to spray wax a small car because I talked so much. And the question 7 out of 10 times were , Dude what do u for a living?. I’d give them a business card or flyer. Sometimes the first question was , Is this your car?. I’d say no its my friends car there question then was what does he do for a living. We both do marketing he does mostly real estate here is one of his business cards and mine. After 2 and a half hours I was actually ready to go, I was exhausted mentally from the excitement of the car experience and the questions and the overwhelming emotion of what had taken place in a short period of time. I gave out over 90 business cards of mine more than 50 flyers and at least 75 cards of Steves. What an amazing thing to see ! These were 100% laser targeted (interested) leads. I did not try to sell them anything but they were wanting my cards to see if they could duplicate what I or Steve were doing. So maybe they could by a Ferrari- WOW! I spent no money besides fueling up his car and a small investment for the cards.

By Tuesday I had 38 wanting more information and direction, because they were ready to try this out and make a change in their lives. I was amazed. I called Steve told him what I had done and he was flabbergasted. He said he was wondering why he had been getting so many calls from Sunday night until now. As we spoke his phone was ringing simply amazing he said. I never thought of doing that myself I get a lot of questions about that car it does happen often.I just answer questions about ,I never thought about marketing with it. Next weekend we will be on the lake Saturday and Sunday he said!

The moral is believe people with integrity when they tell you follow thought you never know what will click in your mind to become a creative marketer. I have many more new and exciting ways to market that will be as un-orthodoxed and OUT THA BOX ! approach to marketing as this article is. And they will be enjoyable at the same time.

My advice to you find a friend with a FINE car or rent one, go to the SPCA find a nice puppy and duplicate this for free.

Here are four steps to finding the right wedding shoes.

1) Choose Your Shoe Fabric

While most bridal shoes are made from cloth (usually white satin or silk that can be dyed to match their gowns), there isn’t any rule that says brides have to wear cloth shoes. You can also wear leather, as long as it fits with the look of your gown.

2) Choose Your Color

White wedding shoes are the most common, as brides traditionally wear shoes to match their gowns, which are usually some shade of white. Some brides, however, opt to be a bit more original with their footwear, choosing a metallic shade that matches an accessory or embellishment. Some brides even don blue kicks as their “something blue.”

Don’t obsess about finding an exact match to the color of your gown. Again, you should seek to complement, not perfectly match your getup. Combining slightly different shades of whites or neutrals is not only perfectly acceptable – it also makes for a richer, more compelling look.

3) Get Comfortable Shoes

As you walk down the aisle, those 4 inch stiletto heels may look adorable. But 5 hours and 10 dances later, cute may morph into acute pain with every step. Avoid the blisters with some chicken soup for your sole:

Forego “Something New” – Don’t leave it up to your soles to be your “something new.” If you are not used to wearing 3 inch heels, or you’ve never dared bare your toes in strappy sandals, your wedding day is not the best arena to try out these styles.

Go Designer – If comfort is important to you, consider investing in a high end brand. Although you’ll pay for the high quality fabric and fine craftsmanship, you’ll enjoy better a better fit and greater comfort.

Add Pads – Shoe pads can help prevent slipping and chafing so that you can keep dancing all night. In fact – here’s a little secret – shoe pads can actually make your feet look better by preventing your toes from hanging over the edge of the shoe. Break ‘Em In – A few weeks before the wedding, start wearing your wedding shoes inside for an hour or two at a time. This will break in the fabric, and help you get used to wearing them.

Go Goody Two Shoes- If you find a shoe that pleases the eye, but kills the feet, bring two pairs of shoes. Wear those killer heels for the ceremony and photos, and change into the comfortable pair for dancing and mingling.

4) Choose Your Wedding Shoes Style

Seek to complement these four aspects, and your kicks will be a perfect shoe-in:

The Season – Traditional fashion rules dictate closed toe shoes are appropriate for winter months. However, this rule has relaxed somewhat, especially in warmer climates.

The Formality of Your Wedding Day – A closed toe pump provides most classic and formal look; added embellishments also make a shoe more formal. On the other hand, low sandals, ballet slippers and even jewel studded flip flops complement a more casual event.

Your Dress – Bridal shoes can be adorned with a number of embellishments, such as crystal, rhinestone, bows, beading, and embroidery, so choose ornamentation that complements those on your gown or other accessories. Also consider your hemline; a decorated hemline calls for a simpler shoe style, while embellished shoes can dress up a plain hemline.

Your Venue – If your ceremony or reception takes place on a lawn, beach, or other soft surface, avoid stiletto heels, as they tend to sink into soft ground and sand. Instead look for a wide heel or flat.

Ladies, I have a question for you: Do you wonder why you can’t find your dream man? Do you long for a soulmate, your one true love, that man who will whisk you away to your happily ever after? If you do, ask yourself this: Why haven’t you found him yet? And, while you’re flashing back on all the reasons why, consider this…

The Universal Law of Attraction states that people are like magnets. A magnet attracts iron ore because that’s what it’s made up of. People attract other people who are “made up” of the same stuff, like hopes, desires, fears, feelings, and so on. For example, in a very basic way, when you smile at somebody, do people smile back at you? Yes, most often they do. This is the law of attraction working. When you smile people are drawn to your positive energy, it makes them feel good, and as a result they smile back which makes you feel good; like attracting like.

So, do you think this law of attraction is true in your own life? Do you believe you can you really attract the positive and negative just like a magnet? The things you want—like money, power, and confidence? Even the things you don’t want—debt, conflict, or poor self image? How about love…do you think you can use this law to attract your one true love just as surely as to attract not-so-good relationships? Let’s explore this a little further by thinking about how you talk to your girlfriends about men, dating, and love.

When you’re chatting with the girls, do you hear yourself saying things like “I’m never going to find my Mr. Right” or “There must be something wrong with me,” or “I hate dating,” or “My one true love must not exist,” or “I don’t believe in soulmates.”? If you do, do you think such negative thoughts and expressions as these have any connection with why you haven’t found your true love yet? Or, do you think they’re totally unconnected and that at any moment your dream man is going to materialize out of thin air, whisk you off your feet, and you’ll live happily ever after? If you think the latter, it’s time for a reality check!

Ask yourself this: Would *you* be attracted to a man who had such a woe-is-me attitude, low self esteem, negative outlook on life, and no dreams for his relationship future? Um, I didn’t think so. So why should a man be attracted to you if this is the “man magnet” you’re casting out into the world?

Skill skeptical? Still think a man is magically going to appear? Still want to buck the law of attraction? Don’t worry; you’re absolutely right: A man *will* appear. He’ll likely be Mr. Wrong, ready to exploit your self-doubt, and if he doesn’t make your life miserable right away, he’ll at least keep you from finding somebody better…for a long time to come! And, if by that time your attitude still hasn’t changed, the next man you’ll attract isn’t going to be Mr. Wrong, he’s going to be Mr. Really Wrong!

You see, try to resist it as you will, when you affirm these negative messages and desires, you are calling on the law of attraction to work for you. And, dutifully, obediently, and without question, it will. The only problem is that you’re asking the universe to send you the *opposite* of what you truly want!

Now, you’re in a real pickle because you’ve got what you asked for, but it’s not what you want. When you state “I don’t want this or that” and “I don’t need such and such,” it’s exactly what you attract. Then you find yourself wondering why you “just can’t get a break,” “why everybody else is falling in love but me,” and you’re left to wallow in the idea that you’re “going to grow old alone.” If this is how you feel, you’re not alone. Many women (and, yes, men, too) don’t know how to affirm what they *do* want. They only know how to define what they do *not* want. In affirming the negative, this is the very thing they attract.

But, before you get mad at the law of attraction, you must realize “it” doesn’t care one way or the other if you’re happy or sad, with Mr. Right or Mr. Wrong. The law works without judgment, without bias, and without any sentiment of “I sure hope she finds her dream man this time!” If you want to begin attracting your true love, then things are going to need to change and *you* are going to need to be the one who changes them.

Change your focus to the positive, to the self affirming, and to your ideal, and your man magnetism is going to start attracting your Mr. Right (and, likely, many of them!) immediately.

You might be asking yourself, “Gee, this all sounds good, but how the heck do I actually stop focusing on a lifetime of bad dates, dead-end relationships, and deadbeat guys?” or “Hey, I don’t even know where to begin imagining who my true love or ideal man really is. How do I get started?” I’m glad you asked!

Discover how to attract men by making the universal law of attraction work in your favor by answering these seven super simple questions:

1. Define the type of relationship you want

“I want to meet the man of my dreams,” isn’t going to cut it. Be specific (e.g., “I want to find a husband who is passionate about his career and loves kids. 5. What does he do for fun?

(e.g., Work out at the gym, listen to/play music, cycle, play golf/football/tennis, eat out, go to bars/clubs, hiking, mountain climbing, reading, swimming, travel…)

6. Where will you meet this man?

(e.g., I meet him at an airport, sports bar, night club, on the internet, through friends, by chance, at a wedding, in the grocery/video store, library, at the beach, gym, tennis club…)

7. How will you know you’ve found him?

(e.g., He proposes to me on a starry night. We are lying together on a sandy beach listening to the waves crashing against the shore. I wake up in the morning to find him making me breakfast in the kitchen. Our eyes meet across a crowded room and he comes over and asks me to dance…)

When you have answered all of these questions, you are ready to let the law of attraction start working for you. You know exactly what you are looking for, where to find it, and how to know when you have found it. So now all you have to do is take a few minutes to think over your responses, and then close your eyes and imagine the man of your dreams. See him, hear him, touch him, feel him…even taste him!

Take time to affirm these positive images daily. Breathe in deeply letting the air fill every cell in your body with the image of what you desire. With every exhalation feel the peace and joy that comes with knowing your desire is already fulfilled…and it really is…the universal law of attraction *will* start drawing your dream man (or men!) to you almost immediately.
