What Do You Think Could Be The Cause Of My Faintness?
I know I should talk to a doctor. I don’t have insurance currently, and it isn’t a major problem for me as it’s been going on for a long time.
Anyway, when I stand up I usually feel very faint, and my eyes go sort of black. I also sometimes fall to the ground, although it’s usually something I do voluntarily as it makes the faintness go away quicker. This happens almost on a daily basis. I never actually pass out, it’s just a lot of faintness.
I’ve also passed out more often than I’d consider normal. Usually it involves pain, so I’ve assumed it’s just that I have a low pain tolerance.. I slammed my finger in a beverage case and passed out, I fell backwards on the jetty at the beach, and another time I don’t really know why it happened. I had cramps and took some pain medication without eating, so I think it may have been that.
My father thinks I may have low blood pressure. What do you think it could be? Thanks for the answers. :]
What Could Have Changed Her Mind?
Ok, so i hadnt seen this girl that I went to high school with in 9 years. Im 27 now. Found each other on facebook recently. we actually hooked up after a party in high school one time. hung out a few times. but her best friend really liked me so that about as far as it went. Personally, i wasnt really into either of them at the time. My last relationship was a long 5 years. Ive been single for about 5 months, but havent really been dating. Her last relationship was around a year with an older guy..37. He wanted marriage and kids and she wasnt ready for all that yet so she left him.
Ok, so we talked for about a week on Face book, long messages, everymorning before work, getting on at night just to chat with each other. Im in North Florida, she’s in South Florida. She mentioned me taking a road trip down to visit her.
Then we started talking on the phone for about a week. Loooong conversations at night from like 9 or 10 til 1 or 2. There was no doubt that we were both feeling each other completely. Actually the kind of feeling that makes you think love.
She told me one time that she may not ever want kids of her own.I have a daughter and she knows about her. in fact, she told me that her and her friends were talking and they were all like, yeah thats perfect for you, a guy that already has a daughter. She made it perfectly clear that she was 100% ok with it.
So I line up a 5.5 hour road trip to go vist her. Oh, and dont let me forget the text, she was blowing my phone up all that week before i left. We were back and forth all day texting. I would wake up in the morning, and she would already have a text on my phone that said “good mornin sugar” and stuff like that. and let me tell you also that she looks damn good now. i dont think im a super stunner or anything but she had seen all my pics on facebook and i was overweight in all of them. not obese, just out of shape. but now i work out im 6 foot 192, feeling the best ive felt in years. so when i showed up, i was DEFINITLEY more attractive then in my pics she was seeing.
So i show up, walk in to her apartment.(she’s really successful for her age, so a total package) anyway, drop my bags, and she comes up to me and says how are you? and we just start kissing, just like that. we go out with her friends that night to the bars. come back to her place. have sex, sleep naked, wake up and go to breakfast at a diner. next day went to the beach with her friends, had a good time, had dinner at a seafood place on the stip that night. after that we were exhausted, so sunday was pretty much a sleep day, plus i got a little stomach bug so couldnt do much anyway. All we did lay in her bed all day, watch movies and sleep. Everytime she slept, she would fall asleep with her head on my chest. walk up to me and kiss me randomly in her apartment for no reason.
So needless to say, i was completely hooked, and i thought she was.
I leave that evening, drive back home, shes texting me the whole way home. Sopposedly had a bad day at work on monday. Got a text tuesday morning explaining her bad day at work on monday. Not much text to each other that day. Wednesday morning, no text. So i text her, takes like an hour to get a response when normally it only takes a few seconds. Tho she did send me a picture of her trying on clothes at express later that evening.(not nude, just showing the outfit.) but then it was all downhill. Barely any text response, no face book messages waiting for me. I mean night and day compared to last week. So today, I called her when i got off of work and i got sent to voicemail. left a polite message, “havent talked to you in a while etc…call me back. no call. so tonight i just wrote her on facebook, and just say, hey, i cant help but notice things arent like they were last week, i dont want to make a big deal out of it, but whats up? and i can see her signed into facebook while im sending her a message. she doesnt attempt to chat or anything. she stays on about long enought to read the message i sent. then signs off. so now i know somethings up. after a text telling her that she is hard to read, i finally get a text saying. “Sorry, i dont mean to be. this weekend was just overwhelming for me. im just not ready for anything.
So im sitting here now, a little hurt, a little confused. and she wont answer my call right now. I just want to no what happened. Why the change of heart. We were getting along sooooo well. I mean. total shocker. I was full on ready to start a long distance relationship. Also, alot of what she said and did was talking about future trips for me there, and the way her friends talked to me when i was in her town, i knew she had been telling them that she really liked me because they were also mentioning things that related to future trips for me back down south. I am just so confused.
Any Ideas of what might have happened? I know that was long, thanks for reading.

Could Someone Help Me Summarize This Poem: Dover Beach By Matthew Arnold?
The sea is calm to-night.
The tide is full, the moon lies fair
Upon the straits; on the French coast the light
Gleams and is gone; the cliffs of England stand;
Glimmering and vast, out in the tranquil bay.
Come to the window, sweet is the night-air!
Only, from the long line of spray
Where the sea meets the moon-blanched land,
Listen! you hear the grating roar
Of pebbles which the waves draw back, and fling,
At their return, up the high strand,
Begin, and cease, and then again begin,
With tremulous cadence slow, and bring
The eternal note of sadness in.
Sophocles long ago
Heard it on the A gaean, and it brought
Into his mind the turbid ebb and flow
Of human misery; we
Find also in the sound a thought,
Hearing it by this distant northern sea.
The Sea of Faith
Was once, too, at the full, and round earth’s shore
Lay like the folds of a bright girdle furled.
But now I only hear
Its melancholy, long, withdrawing roar,
Retreating, to the breath
Of the night-wind, down the vast edges drear
And naked shingles of the world.
Ah, love, let us be true
To one another! for the world, which seems
To lie before us like a land of dreams,
So various, so beautiful, so new,
Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light,
Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain;
And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,
Where ignorant armies clash by night.
Could Someone Help With The Meaning Of Some Of The Verses In This Bright Eyes Song?
The song is yet unreleased “Roosevelt Room” and is a political song against the Bush administration. As an englishman i do understand the majority of the lyrics but there are some aspects i don’t quite get.
Hey there, son of Adam
Hey there, daughter of Eve
Help me sing this tear gas riot song
To some fresh faced police
They won’t even know what hit them
When they lift their Roman shades
When the riot song comes pouring in
On a brand new day
Now you who dam the river
You could change a mountain’s name
First we marched to rally back
Now we’re taking down Washington state
In death there’s a consolation
You know only hate and rage
You paid a dowry for your child’s rights
Now she’s living like a slave
A prayer came down the wire
And it was all in the enemy’s code
You couldn’t figure out what mercy meant
So you did like you were told
When they finally sent the doctors
Once the fireball went out
There was nothing left but the cockroaches
In a movie with no sound
What good, what good are you?
With your cynical flag and your Roosevelt room
What good, what good are you?
With your Cherokee trail and your unattended tomb
Yeah, go ask Hunter Thompson
Yeah, go ask Hemingway’s ghost
It all catches up with you
Once you get just a little too old
Take a hard look in the mirror
It’s a thing that you did not see
The shadow’s long but the day is young
It just wasn’t meant to be
There’s no blankets for the winter
There’s no oil in the lamp
And I’d like to write my congressman
But I can’t afford the stamp
You want me to pay my taxes
So you can propagate your lie
While there’s barefoot dudes down in New Orleans
Looking like they’re going to die
Yeah, you who quote the legends
You who poisoned all of my dreams
You pinned all of the medals on
All those boys from Omaha Beach
Hope they haven’t got too lazy
I know you like your apple pie
But the working poor you’ve been pissing on
Are doing double shifts tonight
What good, what good are you?
With your cynical flag and your Roosevelt room
What good, what good are you?
With your Cherokee trail and your unattended tomb
The bits i would like help with are the last two lines of verse 2, all of verse 3 (“…prayer came down the wire” onwards) and verse 4 (“…Hunter Thompson” onwards) and the last line of the chorus (“…cherokee trail…” onwards)

Global warming threatens the whole world. Though it has had little noticeable impact on the world so far, its potential impact could be disastrous which is why global warming has become an issue ever present in the media and for governments. One of the biggest problems facing the Bahamas today is global warming. Future predictions do not look good for the Bahamas. There are many causes, such as the greenhouse effect through the burning of fossil fuels, the rise in sea level which will not be good for the Bahamas and, pollution which poses many problems for this country. You have heard that “for every cause, there is an effect”. Agricultural would be greatly impacted by global warming, Climate change could have a severe effect on the Bahamas; the economic consequences could lead to instability for this country. There are many solutions. First stop making CO2 and switch from oil, coal and gas to renewable energy, secondly the Bahamas have plenty of sunshine; they can create a solar farm, thirdly use less energy and recycle more product.
The more Bahamians recycle the less they contribute to the greenhouse effect. There are many causes of the greenhouse effect. The most common greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide. They are released by the burning of fossil fuels which are a major leading cause of concern for the Bahamas. These emissions can be seen when a car is started on a cold early morning. The muffler will emit visible vapor. The more cars run idle for a long period of time, the more carbon dioxide is emitted into the air. It can be seen in the form of smoke in heavy populated cities like New Providence and Grand Bahama. Many things contribute to global warming such as factories (e.g. BORCO in Grand Bahama), transportation, waste products and agriculture. The greenhouse effect is crucial to our being. Without the greenhouse effect, the earth would not be warm enough for the human race to live. If the Bahamas continues to contribute to the greenhouse effects by continuing to burn fossil fuel and sending more pollution in the atmosphere this can cause a great deal of health problems for its citizens of the Bahamas.
First of all air pollution causes a great deal of health problems; such as, aggravated asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, lung and heart diseases, and respiratory allergies. Wanting clean air is an important factor to consider because air that is polluted can result in s death. However, our health is not the only thing to be threatened, our environment is threatened too. Indeed, air pollution causes some disorders on the environment, meaning the increase in sea temperatures and the destruction of coral reefs. The Bahamas has another source of pollution cruise ships. They produce an enormous amount of unwanted gases and fumes. This makes it a major contributor of pollution. For instance, while in port at Nassau harbour or at other islands, cruise ship that sails to the Bahamas spends one day in New Providence or a small amount of time at some other island. Cruise liners use about three hundred thousand tons of fuel on a daily basis and a considerable amount while docked. If there are three ships in Bahamian waters that are tied up at the Prince Gorge dock for example, whatever they use can lead up to three hundred thousand tons of fuel per year. {English 119 booklet Par.7 pg 26} “This generates about on million tonnes of greenhouse gases” which can contribute to the rise in see level
Most of our islands are in five feet or more above sea level. The Bahamas being a low-lying area as it is, fresh water ponds can be severely affected as a result. There are many well fields in some of the islands, which can become contaminated due to the rise in sea levels. This spells disaster for those islands in which water is pumped from places like Andros and Grand Bahama. {Climate Change in the Caribbean by Larry Smith} states “Indications are that some fresh water marshes in the Bahamas have already become brackish, which may be attributed to rising sea levels. It is known that well fields on Andros and Grand Bahama have been badly affected by storm surges in the past five years”. Bahamapundit.com. Scientists are ardently trying to find ways to counteract the effects that the rising waters are causing, which includes island and beach erosion. Evidence of the public’s ignorance of the inevitable impact of the rising sea levels is shown in the millions of people that are flocking to the coast. The Bahamas is mainly a low-lying country; a rising sea levels will negatively affect coastal areas; eroding beaches, mangroves, coral reefs and tourism; and eventually cause some islands to disperse because of the costal erosion.
The Bahamas is basically a low- lying country; the highest point being two hundred and six feet above sea level; thus, this make the Bahamas vulnerable to the effect of climate change and higher temperature increase flooding due to heavier rains. This can result in mal
