Geometry Junior Year?

3.9 GPA
ASB
Honors
Failed algebra twice…
I intend on applying for NYU, Northwestern, USC (unlikely acceptance though), Reed, Vasser, Brown, and maybe Cal State Long beach.
How will my lacking math abilities affect application reviewers? Will they sympathize, or stamp the kid who is a level or two above me?
I’ve been trying real hard; tutors, brainpop, teachers, etc, but I just don’t understand. My mom says not to worry but I can’t help it.
I took skimmed through the PSAT at college board and the math questions looked extremely hard.
I need some reassurance! : (

Did I read your question well? You have a 3.9 GPA that includes two failures. You must be doing exceptionally well in your other subjects.
You have a math tutor and the tutor has obviously not improved you math very much if at all. Suggestion: Try a different tutor. A change in technique may work for you. obtain a math tutor who is or was a public school math teacher. Concentrate on preparing for the math PSAT’s.
Do not worry about the future . it will come and you will b e successful. Ivy League is not for everyone. Do not let that bother you.
