Does Anyone Know Of Interesting Places Along The Los Angeles River?
I am looking for a part of the Los Angeles River that has a diverse culture base and a place that has beauty but may seem neglected at this point in time, can anyone point me a general direction?
I know this may seem vague, but any help would be great. I am looking into parts of Long Beach right now

Your question really makes no sense. “Diverse culture base” describes most of LA. I don’t know what you mean by “negelected”. It sounds to me like you are thinking of some place where you live (or lived), and trying to find something similar in LA.
Try Burbank, Glendale, Atwater Village, or Los Feliz.
You DO know that the LA RIver is really just a concrete-lined channel, right? There is some beauty around Griffith Park, where the river bends. There is a bike path along the bank (adjacent to the freeway, as well).

Whatever your reason for this be careful. The LA River goes thru some very rough parts of town and quite frequently the shrubs and trees hide homeless encampments and illegal goings on. The homeless encampment in Long Beach were 5 people were just murdered was close to the LA River.
The section of the river that goes thru Los Feliz looks the most promising.
Try the website below. It has a photographic tour of the LA River and it might be helpful to you. The Friends of the Los Angeles River web site also is cool.
There is also an on again, off again bike path that goes along portions of the LA River.

hmmm, A river doesn’t have a culture base it’s a ******* river. Look for the part of the river that isn’t cemented….It’s north of downtown and could use your best efforts….watch out for drug addicts…they live down there !!!

It’s neglected for a reason. There’s nothing to do there.
